The wedding weekend
More than a wedding day, a wedding weekend. Romi and Ellie's beautiful celebration and discover what it's like to enjoy exclusive use of Brinsop Court across an unforgettable multi-day gathering.
When it comes to weddings, some moments deserve more than a single day. One of the things we love most about hosting weddings at Brinsop Court is seeing couples embrace a slower pace, transforming their celebration into a weekend shared with the people they love most. With exclusive use of the estate, accommodation for guests across the Manor House, and the freedom to make the estate your own, a wedding weekend allows time to gather, connect, and celebrate without feeling rushed.
Romi and Ellie's beautiful multi-day wedding was a wonderful example of exactly that. Their celebrations began the evening before the wedding, with family and friends gathering in the courtyard for a relaxed welcome meal. As guests settled into the Manor House and explored the grounds, the atmosphere felt less like a traditional wedding and more like a house party hosted within a historic country estate.
As the evening unfolded, Romi and Ellie took the opportunity to step away from the celebrations for a few quiet moments together. Against the backdrop of the tennis court and surrounding estate, they captured portraits in the golden evening light before returning to join family and friends for the rest of the evening's festivities.
The following morning, preparations unfolded across Brinsop Court's elegant bedrooms. Romi spent the morning getting ready in the French Bedroom, also known as the bridal suite, while Ellie and her wedding party prepared in the Gothic Bedroom. Throughout the house, there was a sense of excitement as loved ones gathered and final touches came together.
As guests arrived, welcome drinks were enjoyed in the courtyard before making their way to the ceremony. Against the backdrop of the moat and surrounding countryside, the couple exchanged vows on the Wordsworth Lawn. Their ceremony was framed by a rich and joyful palette of peach, burnt orange, deep red, and seasonal greenery, creating a setting that felt both contemporary and deeply personal. Reflecting the couple's heritage and style, beautifully considered touches brought colour and character to every moment of the day.
After the ceremony, celebrations continued on the Cricket Pitch Lawn, with drinks, lawn games, and live entertainment. With the estate exclusively theirs, guests were free to explore the grounds, reconnect with family and friends, and enjoy the celebration at their own pace.
The wedding breakfast was held in the Knot Barn, where the day's colour palette continued through carefully considered styling and florals. Guests enjoyed artisan breads with olive oils, dukkah dips, olives, burrata, and cured meat platters, followed by wood-grilled chicken with lemon and herb butter, sweet potato and pepper kebabs, and a selection of seasonal salads. For dessert, strawberries and cream were served alongside shortbread and strawberry ice cream, a simple yet elegant finish to a summer celebration.
Later, guests gathered around the outdoor bar, enjoyed more lawn games, and made the most of the estate's beautiful surroundings before the celebrations returned to the Knot Barn, where guests came together for an evening of music and dancing.
For couples seeking a more relaxed and immersive way to celebrate, our multi-day Luxury Wedding offers the opportunity to enjoy every moment without feeling confined to a single day. With accommodation for up to 35 guests, dining throughout your stay, and exclusive use of Brinsop Court, the estate becomes your private home for the duration of your stay, allowing you and your guests to fully settle into the occasion.
