Elizabethan Library
This eye-opening room is the choice of many.
The smell of beeswax on the ancient oak, the colourful book spines and the stunning plasterwork ceiling make the Library a place that will always evoke a sigh of awe from your guests.

The Banqueting Hall
Many people say this is the jewel in Brinsop’s glittering crown. This breathtaking room has a soaring vaulted ceiling, built in 1180, and is steeped in history. If only it could speak!
We provide all the beautiful candles for you to make this room a real must to consider.
Suitable for any weather.
Direct access to The Courtyard and seats up to 130.
The Knot Barn
This brand new barn still maintains a wonderfully rustic feel, being made from old oak. A fabulous bespoke space, it has all mod cons – we have tried to think of everything!
- Sound enhancing acoustic panels provide an outstanding listening experience
- A state of the art AV system with a 4m screen can project images and you can even stream your wedding to loved ones far and wide!
- For your comfort, there is a carefully controlled temperature/heating system
- Our fully stocked bar that will keep you and your guests topped up
- Ready-to-go console for your band/DJ to plug into and a beautiful oak floor to dance on!
Glazed windows and doors open onto stunning landscaped gardens and open fields with The Love Knot Lawn to one side leading to the Woodland and The London Plane Glade.

Seats 180 to dine, over 200 for the ceremony and evening party.
The Courtyard
The ancient, well cared for courtyard sits in the very centre of Brinsop’s history. Its beautifully lit central pergola is the perfect place for a romantic and meaningful wedding ceremony.
Arrive through one of the old oak doors, perhaps down the stone steps with all eyes on you for a touch of fairytale drama, before making your way to the pergola for the ceremony.
Wonderful for sunny or overcast days. Protected from breezes.

Wordsworth Lawn
A perfect lawn surrounded by the moat on 3 sides with far-reaching views to hills, woodlands and surrounding estate.
The sparkling moat is filled with baby ducks in spring and lilies in the summer and wonderful water features – including swans!
Perfect for a calm, sunny day.
Seats up to 180.
Cricket Pitch Lawn & Cedar Tree
This enormous lawn has room for hundreds! It spans the length of the Court and runs alongside the Bailey walkway and the Moat.
An ancient cedar is situated at the far end and makes the most picturesque setting for your marriage ceremony.
Or maybe you would like a large affair – a marquee for hundreds? This is your spot! Nearby fields and hard parking is available.
Seats up to 500.
London Plane Glade
This idyllic woodland ceremony area is set in a piece of our adjacent woodland within a circle of beautiful London Plane trees. Just heavenly.
It has rustic seating, beautiful fairy lighting, sheepskins, firepits – you name it!
Suitable for most weather, except very heavy rain.
Seats up to 180.
The Astley Pergola
This timber-framed pergola sits on the Astley lawn and provides the most lovely place for larger groups. We will be able to provide sides if the weather is really tempestuous!
The Pergola provides the perfect spot to combine the antiquity of Brinsop Court House with the new of The Knot Barn.
Suitable for all weather.
Seats up to 200.
St Georges Brinsop
This charming 12th Century church is located close to Brinsop Court. A very short car ride away – about 2 minutes. It is magically set in a field very near our own lake – Church Waters – and has seen many beautiful Brinsop marriage ceremonies.
If you do not live nearby, the vicar will speak to you regarding attendance at some services prior to your wedding day. Not a hardship – when you can pop by and see your lovely venue at the same time!
There is room for parking – by arrangement – with our neighbours.
